Welcome to Mr. McDowell's classroom blog. I am very excited to have a classroom webpage and I hope that you will find it useful. The purpose of this blog is to provide a convenient (and reliable) communication link between students, parents, the school and Mr. McDowell. I invite you to check this blog on a daily basis as I will be posting valuable information about the classroom and the school - including daily homework assignments, important dates, classroom/school news, etc.

Classroom News - Nov. 23

Happy Monday!

 I hope the Term 1 Report Card conversations went well this passed weekend...

Ask your son/daughter about today's curling adventures (part 2).

There will be an MC Knoll Book Fair this Wednesday, Nov. 25 and Thursday, Nov. 26.  Bring a few dollars to buy some great reading goodies!

Homework:
Math - Fractions Pre-Test (OVERDUE)
ELA - Small Group Reading #4 (Before/During/After) (OVERDUE)
Science - Mountain Lion Crossing (Tuesday, Nov. 24)
ELA - Nov./Dec. Writing Folder (Monday, Dec. 14)

Reminders:
- Please return the Term 1 Report Card envelopes ASAP.
- The parent-teacher-student conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 25 and Thursday, Nov. 26.  Student attendance is mandatory during these conversations (as we will be talking about "their" learning).  
- If you are interested in ordering some MC Knoll clothing, please return the form and appropriate money by Friday, Nov. 27.
- Friday, Nov. 27 is "Back to the Future Day"!
